A love song, warped by the very thing it celebrates.

You Are My Sunshine Radio was the first song exposed by the sun — a melanoma awareness campaign that let UV rays tell the story.
A vinyl record of the classic track was left in direct sunlight in Austin, Texas, warping the grooves and distorting the music in real time.
This sun-damaged version became a haunting radio spot, broadcasted on Spotify. It illustrated the point simply:
If the sun can ruin a record in minutes, imagine what it can do to your skin.

The campaign was shortlisted at D&AD for Animation and Use of Emerging Technology.
